3.0 Tesla Ultra High Field MRI

This state of the art MRI provides unsurpassed image quality in extremely short examination times. MRI at 3.0 Tesla is phenomenal in detecting abnormalities within the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) not previously identifiable, as in post-traumatic, demyelinating, inflammatory and degenerative disorders. Musculoskeletal imaging at 3.0 Tesla establishes a new benchmark for visualization of fine detail within cartilage, ligaments and tendons. Zwanger-Pesiri was the first outpatient facility in the New York metropolitan area to offer 3.0 Tesla MRI, and we now provide this service to our patients at both our Plainview and East Setauket locations.

We are the first outpatient facility in the New York Metropolitan area to offer Siemens 3.0 Tesla MRI with the sophisticated TIM coil technology.
