Eliyahu Engelsohn, M.D. is a board certified radiologist since 2007, was happy to join Zwanger-Pesiri in August of 2009.

Dr. Engelsohn obtained his BA, Magna Cum Laude, in Mathematics from Yeshiva University in New York City in 1998. Upon graduation, he received the Professor Daniel Block Memorial Award for Excellence in Mathematics.

In 2002, Dr. Engelsohn obtained his MD degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. He completed his internship at the NY Hospital Medical Center of Queens in 2003 and his radiology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine-Jacobi Medical Center in 2007. During his residency, he received the 2006 RSNA Roentgen Resident Research Award. He has published on the use of advanced MRI and CT for Musculoskeletal disorders such as ligament tears and meniscal injury.

In 2009, he completed a two-year fellowship in Neuroradiology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine-Montefiore Medical Center.

Dr. Engelsohn’s expertise includes the use of CT-guided procedures for the management of back pain including nerve root blocks, facet blocks, and epidural steroid injections.
