i-STAT Blood Analyzer
For your convenience, Zwanger-Pesiri offers the i-STAT blood analyzer which allows us to check your blood levels right before your exam, if necessary. This handheld system provides lab-quality results within minutes, rather than hours.
No longer do you first have to travel to a lab to have your renal function/creatinine levels checked before having a diagnostic test performed with contrast. Two to three drops of blood is all that is needed for the i-STAT system. This very small sample is easily obtained when an I.V. is already in place for a contrast enhanced MRI or CT.
Rest assured that at ZP, your blood levels will be checked before any contrast is administered for those who are diabetic, have kidney impairment or are 70 years of age or older.
